  • ½ cup salted butter, room temperature
  • ¾ cup white sugar 
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 3oz chocolate chips

How to make chocolate chip cookies without vanilla

Start by preheating the oven to 350F and then lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Then in a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar. 

Next, add the egg and beat for only 15 seconds.

Once done, fold in the flour and baking powder until the dough comes together. 

Also, fold in chocolate chips, then let the dough rest for about 5 minutes.

When the time is up, shape the dough into 12 dough balls, arranged on the prepared baking sheet.

Press gently with your hands to flatten to about ½-inch thick.

Place these not the preheated oven and bake the chocolate chip cookies for 10 -12 minutes.

Cool the cookies on a wire rack for 10 minutes or until they firm up.
